Meet Vilas

Vilas lounging on the couch.
gender: female
breed: vizsla
age: 1 year (16 months old, to be exact)

Vilas is super adorable; I'm a sucker for floppy ears.  She loves to snuggle in the evenings and have her ears massaged or her chest rubbed.  She also likes to burn energy by chasing and catching a frisbee.  We didn't have to teach her how to do that; she just knew what to do!  We did know that she was a big fan of retrieving tennis balls though so it wasn't all that surprising that she wanted to chase a frisbee.  She's pretty good at catching it in the air.  We think Vilas is a good pup!

  2. Hey, Vilas! I'm brand new to blogging, but can't wait to talk about what's going on in the backyard. Easton and I were lucky enough to go camping this weekend. They hiked with us so much that Easton can barely jump up on the couch to nap (they're not doing much better-moaning and groaning). The squirrels and chipmunks were going nuts collecting acorns in the oak forests we were tromping through. We actually got into a lot of trouble for pulling too hard. Jeez! The little rodents were there for the taking! What do they expect?! Easton almost committed suicide by leaping over a 3 foot wall on bluff lookout. There was a sheer drop of about 600 feet! Luckily, she had a tight hold on the leash and pulled Easton back in the nick of time. We all had to sit down for a moment after that. Hope you are feeling better again and had a fun weekend! Hey, thanks for listening. -Oliver (the black and white one)
